Top of bbl. is marked with Savage's mfg. and patent information, with the model designation marked on the left, and the cal. designation marked over the top of the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip perch belly buttstock with schnabel tip forend. Marbles No. 3 brass beaded blade front sight with Savage V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain trace to fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting wear overall that shows through to gray patina, as well as scattered spots of oxidation, pitting, and age related discoloration. Dark bore, retaining shallow rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibit a few small chips and a small hairline crack at the upper receiver tang. (24-3130/MLW).
